Contemporary Ceramics Centre is pleased to announce a new exhibition of work by Ruth King
This exhibition of King's work continues her exploration of tensions between pressure and volume encompassing a spectrum of forms from familiar vessels to more enigmatic works that evade easy classification.
Much like the work itself, there are gentle undulations that hint at further possibilities. In contrast, the angularity and balance conceal an elusive internal structure.
Ruth King trained at Camberwell, and has lived and worked near York for many years, her work is in numerous public collections including the V & A and the Museum of Scotland.
